Hi, Fingerfox was running without any problem since yesterday.

Yesterday I got error: \"No connection to the Fingerfox (SE) loginwindow. [...]\".

Fingerfox process is running and go away. Ports are open, I try with non-standard and with Firewall turned off.

I use Firefox 27, Fingerfox 2.23.2. Problem appear also in Thunderbird 24, Windows 7.

Is any debug mode in Fingerfox, which can tell what is going wrong?

Hi there,

Unfortunately, there is no debug mode for Fingerfox - and no extra logging available. I intend to rewrite the application, and include such features, but I have no estimate on when that will be ready.

So if I understand you correctly, you did try to change the ports that Fingerfox (SE) is using ? Does Fingerfox (SE) recognize those as free ?

No error message from the Fingerfox (SE) application itself ? Does it crash or just exit ?
How long is it running before exiting ?

Thanks for reply.
I changed ports, Fingerfox recognize ports as free.
I also turned off Firewall.

After ~20s I got message \'No connection to Fingerfox (SE) logonwindow[...]\'.

In Process window I can see Fingerfox (SE) after ~5s. After next ~1s process disappeared, no errors appeared.

I use fingerfox since September 2013, maybe earlier.

Based on how quickly the process terminates, it seems that some error occurs internally. Could be when trying to open a connection on selected ports, but since you tried changing those, that sounds unlikely.

I have seen this happening for a single specific site earlier. Does this happen on any website, or a specific one ?

It\'s happen on every site[Firefox] and Thunderbird. I create Firewall in/out rules - allow everything on 5001-5002 ports. Still not working. Is Fingerfox source code public? I can try to debug.

No Fingerfox (SE) is not open source.
However, I will add some logging, and send you the updated extension via email, if that\'s OK ?

Unfortunately, I won\'t have time to do so before weekend. :(
